A collection of small video games made with Clicks.
Clicks (or Kliks) are a series of game-making tools by Clickteam. The entire “code” of the game doesn't use a typical text-based programming language, and instead consists of the so-called events, with conditions and their corresponding actions. An example of a condition could be pressing a key, clicking an object, a loop iteration, or comparing two variables. Actions, for example, display a message, change the position of an object, or save a variable to an INI file. Clicks got their name from the method of interacting with the user interface, which mostly involves the mouse — both their blessing and their curse.
Even though I joined near its decline, the Polish community revolving around Clicks, the Polish Click Scene (PSK), was one of the first communities I've been a part of. As most online communities at that time, PSK was scattered across various websites and forums; I lurked Click Portal, witnessed the death of Fabryka Gier, and was somewhat active on NukeBoards. Around 2017, the community, or at least what remained of it, moved the discussion to a Discord server. NukeBoards, the last bastion of the PSK, is essentially dead now. The English-speaking Click community seems to be more active, on The Daily Click and the Clickteam Community forums, but I'm not a part of it and can't say much.
All my Click games were created for game jams during my time on NukeBoards. I even won some of them. Each game is a standalone Windows EXE, also playable through Wine.
Opening an MFA will notify you of any missing extensions and shaders required to open the project. Although the most recent Fusion tools allow you to download the extensions via the built-in manager, all of the extensions required to open my projects have been archived in the following directories (note the directory structure that matches the Clickteam Fusion 2.5 installation folder):
