Recently, we've seen that some of the existing rules have led to confusion about what this subreddit is meant for. We've taken time to clarify the RULES, define the post flairs, and explain what we consider to be "good news."

What is GOOD NEWS?

Good news refers to stories—big or small—that point toward meaningful change.

NOTE: Just because you don’t like a headline doesn’t mean it’s not good news. What you consider “bad or not good news ” might be good for someone else.

Stop complaining and don’t modmail us about it. All submissions will be evaluated at mod discretion.

📌 Post Flairs Explained

1. Positive News: Non-political posts like scientific advancements, acts of kindness, environmental wins, medical breakthroughs, etc.

2. Political Positivity: Political news with a positive spin—e.g., Trump news, declining approval ratings of corrupt politicians, people expressing regret for bad political choices, etc.

Again, don’t modmail us complaining about political posts—you won’t get a response.

1. Personal News: User-submitted stories only if they’ve been covered by a news outlet. No text posts. This is to ensure legitimacy.

📰 About News Sources: Don’t complain about the source of a news story. Just because you dislike a source doesn’t mean it’s unreliable. All sources will be judged at mod discretion. Again—don’t modmail us about this.

NO POSTS calling out MODS or the SUBREDDIT This derails the subreddit. If you have a concern, send a modmail. Violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban depending on severity.

Please use modmail to report any user exhibiting toxic or hostile behavior. Be sure to include evidence, such as a link to the relevant comment(s). Users who are found guilty will be permanently banned.

NOTE: You must provide evidence. Submitting reports without evidence is considered abuse of the modmail system. If you're found to be abusing modmail, you will be muted.
